Survey drones

mapping and surveying with drones

Multispectral and thermal surveys and topographic mapping represent innovative systems for environmental monitoring and land analysis. Thanks to drones, it is possible to map large areas in a short time, obtaining relevant data for various applications. Aermatica3d markets and develops solutions using drones and advanced sensors based on specific customer requirements.

Precision Agriculture

rilievi con droni - multispettrale

Drones are the most effective tool for precision agriculture, allowing you to quickly:

  • Monitor crop health using NDVI, GNDVI, and NDRE multispectral indices, which are useful for assessing chlorophyll, water and nitrogen absorption, and early detection of infestations.
  • Identify soil condition, vegetative vigor, and areas subject to water stress or nutritional deficiencies.
  • Detect and map the spread of weeds, with data transformed into vigor maps for targeted treatments and precision agriculture.

Aermatica3D has also collaborated with the CNR on the Space4Agri project, dedicated to the development of innovative Earth observation methodologies for precision agriculture.

Topographic and Environmental Mapping

rilievi con drone - mappature ambientali

Environmental mapping with drones allows you to:

  • Obtain a detailed view of the territory and identify areas at geological risk, both under normal conditions and after intense weather events.
  • Cover large areas in a short time, generating data for 2D/3D models and high-precision point clouds.
  • Analyze the impact of new construction projects and verify the safety of existing infrastructure in areas with complex morphology and geological characteristics.
  • Accurately identify the extent of environmental damage, the spread of invasive species, and monitor the population of vulnerable or endangered animal species.

Faq

Multispectral mapping acquires data in multiple bands of the electromagnetic spectrum, analyzing the vegetative state of crops. It allows for the identification of water stress, nutritional deficiencies, diseases, vegetative vigor, and differences in biomass, supporting more precise and targeted agronomic decisions.
Among the most commonly used indices are: NDVI, NDRE, GNDVI, OSAVI, and GNDREI. These values help monitor plant health, optimize irrigation and fertilization, predict yields, and identify anomalies that are not visible to the naked eye.
Topographic mapping uses photogrammetry or LiDAR to create 2D/3D models, high-resolution orthophotos, contour lines, DSM/DTM, and georeferenced point clouds. It is a fast, accurate solution suitable for construction sites, design, cadastral surveys, and land monitoring.
Yes. Drones can be used to monitor landslides, erosion, river banks, reservoirs, instability, debris accumulation, and morphological changes. The data is compared over time using multi-temporal analysis, providing useful information for prevention, planning, and rapid response.
With RTK, centimeter-level accuracy can be achieved. Aerial mapping is often faster and more detailed than traditional methods, especially over large or difficult-to-access areas.
Professional multispectral sensors, high-resolution RGB cameras, LiDAR systems, thermal imaging cameras, and specialized payloads are used for agronomic, topographic, and environmental surveys. Solutions are selected based on the technical objective (agriculture, construction sites, hydrogeological risk, forests, etc.).
The data is processed using professional photogrammetry and remote sensing software to generate maps, vegetation indices, 3D models, and customized reports. The results are compatible with GIS, CAD, agronomic platforms, and environmental modeling software.
